Whoopie Pies

I remember my Aunt Sheridan making these when I was little, and they are so good!!

cookie
1 cup sugar
1/2 cups of butter
1 egg
1 yolk
2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 hot water
2/3 cup buttermilk

bake at 350 for 8 minutes

frosting
2 cups powdered sugar
1 egg white
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter
